Just updated Configuration Manager to 2509 (from 2503) and now seeing that PMPC apps that had been installing fine during TS are getting error 615.

For example,
The task sequence failed to install application PowerShell Core (x64)(ScopeId_ED403E82-612E-4726-AD70-11BCD8C8EB51/Application_b1cac6f0-c2ab-4569-a180-f95f7be61495) for action (Install Applications) in the group () with exit code 615. The operating system reported error 615: The password provided is too short to meet the policy of your user account. Please choose a longer password.

Anyone have thoughts on what might be happening here?

Hi @Kevin Severud, please open a support case for this issue. When doing so, please collect all files from the %WinDir%\CCM\Logs folder on an affected client, add them to a ZIP file, and attach that using the "Attach File" link at the bottom of the form. Thanks!

Since i insert a text in the Administrator comments directly in the Application, not the deployment type (!), the installation of all applications working fine during the task sequence. Maybe you can try it in your system...

...and with this powershell command you can insert a text in every application in your system:

Get-CMApplication -Name "*" | Set-CMApplication -Description "Any Text"

I have also got this error on PMP apps im deploying, ones that i have notices are 7Zip, Adobe, Chrome etc.

I had started to reimage before i found this thread.

When this is completed i will log a ticket and add log files to it.

Not sure how long it has been happening, we upgraded to 2509 on Dec 1st
