Since yesterday (5-14-25), the icon disappeared from the desktop on 3 different computers.  It occurs shortly after startup.  I can recreate the shortcut, but what is deleting it?

I turned on a 4th computer & it's not gone, yet.
Here's one way it gets deleted:  Launch Patch MyPC Home Updater-->About-->Check for Updates.
If it finds an update & installs it, the desktop icon is deleted.  Then you have to manually create it.

I think this is another way it occurs...
When updates are checked & nothing new is found, the shortcut is deleted unless you have manually created the shortcut, then it does not get deleted.

We found a bug in the MSI installer for version 5.2.1. We will look at addressing this so it won't remove the shortcut during upgrade.

When it first happened, I thought I might have deleted it by mistake.  When it happened again on a different computer, I said "No, it's not me".  The 3rd time confirmed my suspicions that it must be a bug.

BTW, great job on the new version.  However, I find the dark theme too dark, & the light theme too light.  Also, the window takes up a lot of desktop space.  Make the Summary Panel smaller & place it at the top instead of the side, then you would have more room for the App panels.  I can't resize the width of the window, only the height.  My display resolution is 2560x1440.  Right now it almost fills the entire width of the display.
