You can try it by going to "Settings", then enable "Use the beta channel for checking for Patch My PC updates"
Then go to "About" and click "Check for updates".

Hi, I did as you suggested and updated to v5.4.3.1.

GIMP still didn't respect the setting, and left a shortcut on the Desktop.

So did the Omnissa Horizon Client (this installer also always breaks any taskbar shortcuts).

I had a few other apps that did not have the issue so not sure if its now on a per-app basis or whats going on.

Thanks for taking a look.

Patch MY PC Home Update version 5.4.3.0 on Windows 11 hangs during updates to third-party applications. There are no crashes and error messages. Let me know if more information is needed.

Bei meiner letzten Mitteilung wurde leider der Anhang nicht mitgeliefert. Ich hole das hiermit nach.

Seems Dylan and I are slightly different though similar.

If I understand them correctly, they are using cloud publisher. My organisation is using the desktop publisher.

Quote from: Michiel (Patch My PC) on February 26, 2026, 10:00:53 AMHi @DylanF, did you specify the .NET Runtime prerequisite as a dependency in the Cloud portal?

Hey Michiel,

I did set the dependency in the PMPC cloud portal and it is specified in as a dependency in the portal when a new app is published. But it seems like it is not setting the dependency in intune which then requires republishing the entire app with the dependency. Next update, it publishes Command Update but not the dependency portion in intune.

Yep, it should work!
We of course can't officially support any apps with manually created package.xml files, but you are free to modify them as you need.
