Hi Doug, I checked this with Rudy. As mentioned in his blog article, the new maintenance window functionality in Intune will apply to operating system, driver, and firmware updates only. This means that, unfortunately, they don't apply to our app updates, or any other type of updates, for that matter.

I read Rudy Ooms recent article on the new Intune Maintenance Window feature with great interest.

- Maintenance-window-os-drivers-updates-intune | Blog | PatchmyPC

We are planning Entra Joined Windows 11 devices protected by Universal Write Filter (or Faronics Deepfreeze-equivalent) and need to ensure that any update activity happens within a strict maintenance/thaw window.

Intune Maintenance Windows appears to control OS, Driver and Firmware updates. Good.

- But does it control PmPc Win32App install & updates?

Or other payloads such as

- MDM Device Certificate Renewal
- IME PowerShell Scripts / Proactive Remediations
- Office and Edge Updates
- Store App updates
- etc.

Kind regards
Doug

Yes, still seeing the issue.  I re-installed and disabled the Windows firewall but no difference.

This was reported by others last year:  https://forum.patchmypc.com/index.php?topic=8804.0

Hello,

This is good feedback, we'll look into implementing an option to skip that check.
The reason it was designed this way is because our updates are usually targeted based on a specific installer type, so we designed the uninstaller to work in the same way, but having a more "relaxed" option makes sense to me!

Are you still seeing this issue, this is likely something specific to anti-virus or a security block local to you machine. We aren't seeing any errors like this reported from others.

Thanks, dking02.

One of the main reasons that I was missing CCleaner updates, was because Patch My PC wasn't telling me that updates were available.

I suspect that that the primary reason that Patch My PC is not detecting CCleaner 7 updates, is because the Patch My PC developers weren't aware that there was a problem. And so, I posted to this forum, seeking help/support!

I am still hopeful that the Patch My PC developers can get this working correctly, regardless of the reputation of CCleaner 7.

Perhaps Patch My PC can detect which main version is installed (v6 or v7), and then tell the user if there are any updates to that main version?

The Home Updater App Library currently hosts non-portable and portable editions of CCleaner v6.39 (20-Aug-2025). If you have updated to CCleaner v7, Home Updater will report any currently installed version of v7 as up-to-date solely because its version number is later than the current version (v6.39) that is in the Home Updater App Library. If there is a subsequent update of v7, Home Updater will still report your current version as up-to-date since v6.39 remains the latest version in the App Library and Home Updater knows nothing about updates to v7. Note that the latest update of CCleaner v7 as of the date of this reply (26-Mar-2026) is v7.06.1270 (25-Mar-2026) and that you missed many intervening updates between v7.05.1255 (02-Mar-2026) and 7.01.1066 (24-Nov-2025) mentioned in your above post - see CCleaner Version History link below for details.

CCleaner v7 was released on 6-Oct-2025. A significant number of users who installed v7  have reported serious problems or concerns with this new major release - see sample comment links below. Instructions have even been posted on the CCleaner web site re. how to roll back to v6.39, the final and now unsupported release of v6. I suspect these initial issues with CCLeaner v7 prompted Patch My PC to suspend updates to CCleaner beyond v6.39. Also note that v7 dropped the portable edition of the app that has been hosted in the App Library. CCleaner is viewed as suspect or unnecessary by many former users, particularly since Piriform, the original developer of CCleaner, was purchased by Avast in 2017. In 2022, Avast and Norton LifeLock (formerly Symantec) merged to form Gen Digital Inc. where CCleaner is now one of its consumer digital security brands along with Avira, Avast, Norton, AVG, LifeLock, Reputation Defender and more.

Regarding your comments:

(1) The option to cache downloads is available in Settings > Download Options > "Do not delete installer files after installation". Change the setting to "On" to save the installer file in C:\Program Data\Patch My PC (default cache location) or in the portables location depending on type of app (non-portable or portable).

Note that this caching option is operable within the context of installing or updating an app. There is currently no "download only" option in V5 as there was in V4 although this feature has been requested and is currently "under consideration" (I-5108).

(4) The current implementation where all affected apps remain at the top of the display (even after being updated) until a manual re-scan is performed is very convenient when dealing with updates of multiple apps. If an app automatically returns to its alphabetical sorted position immediately after the update is complete, it is easily to lose track of which were apps were updated or recall the new version number of each. The manual re-scan button is always available to clear the list at the top of the display of any apps for which the update has been successfully completed.

I can confirm that the scrolling does not work in the compact view for My Apps as reported by the OP.  This is true when trying to use the scrollbar at the right side of the app panel or when using a mouse wheel. Depending on the size of the app panel and the total number of apps in My Apps, only the first m of N apps in My Apps will be visible. The problem is readily reproducible in v5.4.3.1.

This problem with inability to scroll does NOT affect the App Library view when it is displayed in compact view mode, so there apparently some difference in how these two similar grid views are set up.

The scrollbar (here on the right side next to "Advanced Renamer" and "Audacity") is empty. I can not scroll to other apps in the list. (I uninstalled one app, now there are only 52.)
You see, this screenshot does not show more than what I described. I hope it helps to identify the problem.
