Title: Mp3tag link in "definitions.xml" is broken
Post by: pmpp on July 29, 2025, 05:31:03 AM
Hello there,

In https://patchmypc.com/freeupdater/definitions/definitions.xml, the "Mp3tagDownload" link (https://download.mp3tag.de/mp3tagv327a-x64-setup.exe) is broken.

It leads to an HTML page instead of the .exe file

Please update to the actual download link (https://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html, https://www.mp3tag.de/en/dodownload64.html)

Thx.

Thanks for reporting this, we'll look into getting that download link updated

Just a heads up — it sounds like you're using the legacy v4 of Home Updater. I'd recommend upgrading to v5, as v4 will be deprecated soon and only v5 will be supported moving forward

You can download v5 here

Thanks for this heads up Justin !

Can you tell me the link to the "definitions" file for the v5 ?

Thanks for following up. The definitions file used in v5 isn't publicly accessible like it was in v4.

Since v5 is built differently, it pulls update definitions directly through the app, and we no longer expose that file over the web.
