Title: two instances of Patch My PC
Post by: BugsBunny on April 10, 2025, 08:44:42 AM
Whenever I'm doing patch management in SCCM, like for example when I'm searching for applicable patches, the Vendor criteria is displaying two instances of Patch My PC (image attached).

Anyone know why this is happening or how I can get back to the Vendor criteria just showing one instance of Patch My PC?

Thanks.

This is the result of In-Place Upgrading the OS that hosts WSUS but without removing the WSUS before the upgrade.

Correction to my original comment above, removing the WSUS prior to the upgrade does not prevent the Duplicate SUP Products.
From our KB Below:
QuoteThe duplicate categories are caused by a change in WSUS on Server 2019, where it uses SHA256 instead of SHA1 to compute a unique category hash for a vendor category.
Existing Updates in the DB will be under the original Category. But newly Published updates after the upgrade will result in the new Category because of the quote above.

We have the below KB on this. You will need to ensure you are selecting Both Vendors in your SUP Products, and well as in your ADR's.
