A few weeks ago I created an Intune Custom App in the Cloud for Colony Labs' Scribe 5.3.3.0 (x64/MSI/en-US) in my tenant, and published it to my Test Device group, all worked well in testing. In adding a new Intune Apps today, I noticed that Colony Labs Scribe was already in your catalog and I want to revert my installs to your catalog app. What steps do I need to take to properly remove the custom app from the Cloud and Intune published apps in order to properly republish the catalog version?
Thank you!
Linden
Hi Linden, instructions on how to delete a Custom App can be found here:
Delete a Custom App (https://docs.patchmypc.com/installation-guides/patch-my-pc-cloud/custom-apps/delete-a-custom-app)
thank you for that. so once I remove the app from PMPC Cloud, what are the steps to properly the Custom App that I deployed via Intune so I can redeploy the Catalog version of the app? screenshot shows the Custom App deployment used to my test device
If you delete the Custom App from the Cloud portal, it will be deleted from Intune as well. Of course this doesn't mean it will be uninstalled from any test device(s). If you like, you can do that by creating an Uninstall deployment first, and waiting for that to complete before deleting the app. Or, if it's just one device, you could just uninstall the app manually.
thank you! Ive removed from PMPC Cloud and it has disappeared from both App tabs in Publisher. How long should I expect for the it to drop out of my Windows Apps in my Microsoft Intone Admin Center?
After deleting the deployment(s) for the app from the Deployments node in the Cloud portal, the app should be deleted from Intune pretty much immediately. If this doesn't happen, I'd wait for the next sync (which typically runs at 2:00 AM UTC), and see if it gets deleted then. If it still doesn't, you can safely delete it yourself.
will keep an eye out - thank you!
