Title: Google Chrome not updated
Post by: dmandula on December 05, 2024, 06:57:07 AM
My Defender is reporting that Chrome has vulnerabilities and the latest version (131.0.6778.108)was released 2 days ago.  I just tried to run a publishing service sync in PMP and it isn't pulling the latest version.

Hello,
Google released a new update the other day, version 131.0.6778.109; unfortunately, with this release, the installer for the Google Chrome MSI no longer functions properly. A bug has been created for Google here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/382108340. Due to this issue, Patch My PC is holding the update and not releasing the latest Chrome update. Unfortunately, because Google uses a static download link, holding the update will cause a hash mismatch. This error is expected at this time and will remain until Google updates their installer and Patch My PC updates our catalog with a fixed version of Chrome.

Hello,

The current status reported from Google is that they expect to have a fixed version released on or around Tuesday, December 10th, 2024. We will continue to monitor the issue's status and update you accordingly. Once the fixed version is released and passes our internalized testing, we will release it to our catalog for use and send another update.
