Title: Total Commander shortcut missing
Post by: Bjerring on April 03, 2024, 06:20:59 AM
Hi,
I just started evaluating PatchMyPC for intune. I published "Total Commander x64".
The application is installed correctly, but the shortcut for the application is not created in the start menu.

The target pc is windows 11. I have a post script that copies the license fil, but nothing else was changed.

Did I do something wrong when publishing or can I do something to get a shortcut created for Total Commander in the Start menu?

Hey Bjerring,

By default, we are using the /AHMGUK argument for the silent install.
Based on the vendor's documentation (https://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php?title=Installer#Command_line_parameters), the /N* argument should create the shortcuts for all user profiles, otherwise they will be created only for the user running the install (which will be SYSTEM via Intune).

We'll add this additional argument on Thursday, but if you don't want to wait that long, right-click on Total Commander in the PMPC Console --> modify command line --> type in: /AHMGUKN*
Delete the app from Intune and then republish it from the PMPC Publisher.

The command-line change is now part of our catalog as well, with yesterday's release (https://patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-catalog-update-04-03-24).
