Title: Removing Patch My PC
Post by: Ravenclau on July 29, 2020, 02:32:41 PM
Hello everyone,,,
About to deploy Patch My PC in my organization barring any late show stoppers for any reason.

I was asked if it's easy to remove should we change direction on how we implement patching. I think it's as easy as uninstalling the publishing service - anything else I should know before making a final report on this?
mobdro (https://mobdro.bio/) bluehost (https://webhost.kim/bluehost/) kodi (https://kodi.bio/)
Finally - is there a hard requirement on having the site servers (SUP, MP, DP) in HTTPS mode before we can implement?

Thanks.

You'd likely want do decline any updates published by Patch My PC first, then you can remove the publishing service. Details here: https://patchmypc.com/frequently-asked-questions#removing-published-updates
HTTPS is required for the SUP if you want ConfigMgr to manage and deploy your code-signing cert using client settings.
