Title: PXE-Trouble
Post by: delan009 on April 07, 2019, 01:42:26 PM
Hi,

I'm struggling with PXE.
I get a PXE-E51 error.
I work with IP-helper to this machine.
What I have done so far:
-Disabled PXE in DP
-Reboot
-Deleted c:\Remoteinstall
-Reboot
-Enabled back PXE in DP

No result

Then the above steps plus removed the DP

All setup again

No result

PXE error stays on E51.

The errors in WDS are :
-first : 513 error WDSServer (initialize)
-second : 257 error start WDSServer
-third : 1284 BINLSVC error create directory

But in the services "Windows Deployment Services Server" is running.

As an additional test I created a WDS-server on a different machine in the same subnet. There is no problem with the PXE
(changed ip-helper to this machine)
So I don't think it's a network problem.

Who can help me to solve these errors?

Thanks

Delan

seems helpful but PXE is older now and nvme protocol is the way to go. checkout this article https://appuals.com/why-is-nvme-better-than-sata-and-msata/ (https://appuals.com/why-is-nvme-better-than-sata-and-msata/) that I wrote to know further.
