Title: PatchMyPC won't fully close when I exit
Post by: drleef on January 22, 2019, 09:36:53 PM
On my Windows 7 Professional 64 bit laptop, I noticed that when I close PatchMyPC (via the red x in the corner of the window), it leaves PatchMyPC.exe running as a process in task manager. I cannot shut down my PC unless I go to task manager and kill that process. Is there a work-around to that?  It is still otherwise a terrific program, but I wish it would clean itself up a little better when I close it.

Do you have any options enabled in the options menu?

Technical Options
Logging Options
Visual Options
As I was making this list, I suspect it is that minimize to tray option that was the problem. I unchecked it, closed the program, and checked for the running process and did not see it. I guess I just diagnosed it and fixed it?
