Title: Adobe Shockwave
Post by: sigsky on June 14, 2018, 08:24:20 AM
Patch My PC wants to install Adobe Shockwave Player 12.3 - 12.3.3.203 although I already have 12.3.4.204 installed.

Patch My PC has the latest Adobe Shockwave Player v12.3.4.204 but it's the MSI one, did you install/update your Shockwave based on the EXE installer?

I think I did.  Is there more than one with the same version?  I don't know what MSI is. ???

Did you update it using Patch My PC ?
Anyway you will most likely find an older version (12.3.3.203) in "Uninstaller Tab" and you can remove it from there.

That seems to have done it.  I'm afraid I wasn't even aware that I could use Patch My PC to uninstall programs.

When I let Patch My PC update Adobe Flash or Shockwave. I just get a massage telling me that I will be signed out in 1 minute. More info would be useful. So when I suspect Flash or Shockwave are really out of date, I normally go to the Adobe site to check and update.  But that is a matter for another thread which already exists.

This was fixed in the last release of Patch My PC v4.1.0.0 :)
