Hi,

I have Skype 8.17 installed on Windows 7 64-bit but PMPC does not list it as being installed.

This was fixed in the last release of Patch My PC v4.1.0.0 :)

It's important that you only download Skype from the Skype website. Do not download it from anywhere else. If you have downloaded a Skype install file but you're not sure if it is from Skype, then download the actual version from their website. Also, make sure you are using a VPN (http://"https://www.ivacy.com/") when you use skype to secure your data.
