Title: ProtonVPN - Duplicate Listing in PMPC Uninstaller
Post by: Richard on February 27, 2018, 07:17:39 AM
Hi,

When I view ProtonVPN in PMPC Uninstaller, it is listed twice (both as version 1.3.3) - I also get a warning about this at the top of the PMPC installed apps pane.  Could this be a bug?

As far as I can tell I only have one installation of ProtonVPN on my PC.  If I go to Windows Add/Remove Programs, Revo Uninstaller or Geek Uninstaller, ProtonVPN is listed just once.

When I've updated ProtonVPN in the past I have always updated within the app itself.  I am running the latest version of PMPC Updater on Windows 7.

Thanks.

An update: PMPC lists my version as v1.0.0, but the app self-identifies as v1.5.1. The software downloands and installs as though the older version was actually installed, and still lists my version as v1.0.0.

It looks like a bug which makes Patch My PC detects "ProtonVPNTap" as well.
Do you have any other apps that has "Proton" word in it?

This was fixed in the last release of Patch My PC v4.1.0.0 :)
