Got an incompatible error box when v2.1.8.1 tried to get this program, I'm running W7 64-bit.

Yeah it downloaded okay now, thanks.

But I think I already had v1.1.13 installed, and may have been the case for some of the 'Other' programs. Does PMPC check the installed version for the 'Other' programs?

With IrfanView, does it install the optional plug-in file as well, as it is important it does?

Yes it does. There are a few programs that don't shore there version like Real Player so it can't check those.

IfranView installed whatever comes in the default installer.
