We encountered this issue today. Would manually adding .NET 9 as a dependency to the deployment serve as a workaround or was there a more permanent solution?

CrystalDiskMark 9.0.0 (CDM9) was released on 15-Jun-2025 and was updated to 9.0.1 on 19-Jun-2025.

Home Updater is still reporting v8.0.6 (CDM8) as the current version of the installed and portable editions of CrystalDiskMark. See attached screenshot.

Note that the release of CDM9 is a major version change and that installing CDM9 does not automatically replace an existing installation of CDM8. Benchmark results are NOT compatible between different major versions of CDM.

Home Updater (v5.2.3.0) appears to be confusing XnView (Classic) and XnView MP. This is a problem which has been seen in the past.

I only have XnView MP 1.9.2 installed on my machine, but Home Updater is reporting that XnView needs to be updated from 1.9.2.0 to 2.52.2. See attached screenshot.

XnView 2.52.2 is a newly released update of the legacy (Classic) Windows-only product.

XnView MP (multiplatform) 1.9.2 is the latest version of the recommended product.

Recently installed new Microsoft Edit (via winget install microsoft.edit) and noticed that Home Updater detects this as PDF-XChange Editor. Originally Edit was version 1.0.0 (visible in Home Updater UI too), later it updated to version 1.2 as shown in current attached image. I do not have any PDF-XChange software installed.

The list is now updated, and the table on the site will automatically update going forward.

V4 was installed, ran unnoticed, every day, never any anything for anyone other than knowing where the log files were, yet v5 blasts the ability to run every day, same time, alway silently, etc.
Did I miss something or is there a new way to inhibit the OS from 'reminders' via notifications or leaving any residuals?

I've been using PatchMyPC for a long time, and the best part is that it was truly "silent", hidden and functional, 100%.
However the newest version which is quite a bit different seems to "advertise" it's presence on the desktop (icon), making directories in the normal displayed OS tree, etc.
More importantly, today I got a pop up asking to allow or turn off notification settings for Patch My PC.  However, it does not exist anywhere in the hierarchy of the OS and if you use Task Scheduler, you defeat the "automation" of it not running.
So, how can I regain the "invisible" installation not only of the program itself, but all the updating procedures that are scheduled (without having to delete the desktop icon, start menu references, folders generated in the OS c:\, etc.), as well as have it run silently at a specific time, 100% silently, not traces or interaction of any sort, anytime, just like it used to be?

Thanks, but definitely not seeing that.

Is it because I am new here and have limited posts? Anyway, I uploaded the file to my website:

diagnostics ZIP file

Hopefully that works.
