Opera version running ahead

As of 7/30 5pm MT, Opera 133.0.5932.85 is current per the Opera developer's site and attempts to update from within the browser. There is no 134.0.5954.36 (yet?). The developer's site does not right now show a version 134, only 135 developer releases.

I don't know how you're determining the current version (Check for Update?). The 134 release indicated by PMPC and elsewhere (see below) is correct. It does look like Opera forgot to update the link for the optional offline setup file on their Download page.

As of 1 Aug 2026 1300 PDT -- If you download the  default and smaller online setup installer from the "Download now" button, you get file OperaSetup.exe, 177KB. The version is 134.0.5954.26, signed by Opera Norway AS on 28 Jul 2026 (per Properties of the file). This installer file is for the weekly release dated 30 Jul 2026. The previous release of 23 Jul 2026 of Opera Stable was 133.0.5932.85.

If you download the 64-bit "offline package" for Opera for Windows from the provided link you get file Opera_133.0.5932.85_Setup_x64.exe, 135,041 KB. This is the ofline installer for the previous week's release.

MajorGeeks.com, winget, and the Opera FTP site all show the 134 release of 30 Jul 2026 rather than the previous 133 release.
