Windows 11 Pro 26100.4770 ...

When I updated 5.2.3.0 to 5.3.0.0, I noticed that "Patch My ..." had been removed from the taskbar and that a shortcut was not on my Desktop. So I went to the Start Menu, found "Patch ...", right clicked it and expected to find an option to "Pin to Taskbar". It was not there. But under "More", I did find an option to "Open file Location" so I thought I might be able to create a shortcut or Pin to the Taskbar there. No ... there appears to be no way to do that.

I prefer to have applications I frequently use on the taskbar ... it makes computing so much easier.

I'm not sure this makes a difference, but I also use an application "Windhawk", which modifies Windows. One of the modifications I use allows more than one row of shortcuts to be placed on the taskbar as all previous versions of Windows allowed. I am a long time user of Windows, since Windows 95, and have used Computers since 1961 when I was a Math Major in University. See my attached partial ScreenShot of my modified Windows 11 Taskbar ... FYI -

I have updated PMPC Home Updater to 5.3.0.0 (Preview) on my desktop PC running Windows 11 Pro 24H2 but without Windhawk and the "Multirow taskbar for Windows 11" mod that you appear to have installed. On my system, "Pin to taskbar" is available under the "More" option of the Home Updater app start menu item as shown in the attached snapshot and works as intended.

I therefore suspect 5.3.0.0 is not the cause of "Pin to taskbar" being missing on your system.

Thanks for your reply ... It does look like Windhawk was the problem. In order to fix the problem, I had to first uninstall Windhawk, reboot, Uninstall Patch My PC. reboot, Reinstall Patch, Remove several of the Icons on the "overflow task bar that resulted from removing Windhawk and another so that I could add Patch back to the main taskbar. Move Patch to where I wanted it on the taskbar, and then add back the Icons I had to remove which are now back on the overflow taskbar. It worked, but it should have been unnecessary! Of course, the problem was not Patch My PC.
