Please add an entry in the Release Notes for v5.2.1.1 which was released on 19-May-2025 with a description of the change(s).

It might also be useful if the Release Notes were displayed when a user opens Home Updater the first time after an update of the program or after initiating an update - similar to what occurs when updating Visual Studio Code or PowerToys. Since Home Updater typically self updates, users may not even be aware that they're running on a new version, let alone what changed.

Thanks for the heads-up. Version 5.2.1.1, released on May 19, was just a small installer update to fix a shortcut behavior issue. No changes were made to the main app itself.

We're in the middle of a larger website overhaul and plan to roll out a better Release Notes section soon. We're also looking into some UI improvements in Home Updater to show release info after updates. Appreciate the feedback!

Please note that the newly updated release notes have a problem with the display of the block for v5.2.0.0 (25-April-2025). It appears that the referenced .png file can't be found, resulting in blank section being displayed. See attached screenshot.

Again, I would suggest that ALL stable channel releases be documented in the release notes.

(1) So users can consult the release notes to determine what changes (new features or fixes) were incorporated in the release without having to resort to messaging the developer. v5.2.1.1 (14-May-2025) was not documented in the release notes although there  were several recent forum messages from various members which dealt with disappearing or invalid Home Updater shortcuts on the desktop, start menu and taskbar which appeared to be related to problems with previous updater .msi files.

(2) To check on the relation of possible new strange behavior and the release. The undocumented v5.2.1.1 update added a second Home Updater shortcut on my desktop which I promptly deleted. I had already corrected shortcut problems.

(3) To compensate for the otherwise lack of announcements of new releases. Many SW product sites include a separate board specifically for announcements from the developer for new releases, etc. The Home Updater forum does not include such a board.

(4) MajorGeeks.com is an official mirror site for Home Updater. v5.2.1.1 was posted on that site on 24-May-2024. The release notes are linked on the Home Updater details page but v5.2.1.1 is missing in the referenced release notes.

All great feedback, we corrected the image on the release notes page. We did a significant site migration to a new design, and that image didn't make it over. We also added the release notes for 5.2.1.1.
