Hello,

Aver released a new version of Avertouch last month but I still only have 1.3.2104 deploying. Is there an issue with the new version?

Thanks for notifying us, we'll fix our automation for this one and get it in the catalog asap!

Hey Dan!

1.3.2105 was added in the April 04, 2025 patch catalogue. However, the setting for it has the download location of \\localhost\PatchMyPCRepository\AVerTouch_v1.3.2105.0.msi so it tells me I have to manually download and supply the file. I did not have to do this previously. Can it no longer grab the file from https://www.averusa.com/education/downloads/AVerTouch_v1.3.2105.0_msi.zip?

Ipevo Cam control, snap capture, and visualiser install commands need to be updated as well.

The vendor has switched their .msi download to a .zip... And when this happens we normally switch the file to be local content so that you have to provide it either in the local content repo (if using the on-prem Publisher) or upload via the portal. Hopefully they will revert to a direct MSI download in the next version.

We do have support for zip files now - however WSUS does not support them, so this approach of requiring the file locally allows our WSUS-only customers to still support patching this app.

We are working on removing this limitation and apologise for the inconvenience!

Thanks - I can see that we missed a couple of IPEVO updates, we'll get these in ASAP:

IPEVO Visualizer (MSI-x86) 4.2.10.0
https://us.ipevo.com/pages/visualizer-download

IPEVO SnapCapture OCR (MSI-x64) 2.3.3.5
https://us.ipevo.com/pages/snapcapture-ocr-download

Although CamControl appears to still be 1.7.0.2?

You mention command line however, this is what we're using currently, if you think anything should change with these then please let us know:

msiexec /i CamControl_win7-11_v1.7.0.2.msi ALLUSERS=1 ACCEPTEULA=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress
msiexec /i Visualizer_win7-11_v3.6.6.0.msi ALLUSERS=1 ACCEPTEULA=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress
msiexec /i Visualizer_LTSE_v1.2.73.0.msi ALLUSERS=1 ACCEPTEULA=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress
msiexec /i SnapCaptureOCR_win10-11_v2.3.3.3.msi ALLUSERS=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress
